Great American diner! Love sausage gravy & biscuits. Over medium eggs were perfect & bacon crispy. You are welcomed as soon as you walk in to door. We sat at the "bar." BBC is decorated with old western movie & TV posters. There is a collection of metal western lunch boxes above the counter. BBC is easily assessable with street parking off Hwy 101 & walking distance from my niece's house. There is one TV to track college football games that were on, which made my BF very happy. Overall: Great Breakfast Great Service Easy to get in & out.

Great food! Nice service. They have delicious bakery products on weekends. We stop every time we go to Trinadad.

We stopped on our way through town and it was a small wait, but a Sunday afternoon. I had the best BLT sandwich! We could eat their fries til the end of days! Small diner vibe. Worth the wait.

Food was so good and place was a throw back to the 50's. Great service and fun place to eat. Great choices of breakfast foods. Would definitely recommend this place!

The best breakfast food. The Hopland Scramble is my favorite. Excellent service. Go back in time on Highway 101!

So this is a very fun cafe with a lot of retro decorations. We were heading back from Eureka to the Bay Area and Hopland seemed like a nice stop. Bluebird Cafe to the rescue. I had the Salmon Benedict and my wife had a classic burger. First the benedict - salmon was tasty, poached egg was a little under (but better under than over) with spinach and tomato as the bed. One strong recommendation would be to remove the tomato. The taste was fine but the liquid in the tomato basically destroyed the bottom muffin of the Bene. The cubed hash browns were fantastic - maybe my favorite part of the meal. My wife's burger was perfectly cooked, with very tasty bacon and mushrooms. Her fries were fantastic - perfectly seasoned and fried. Service was very good considering there was only one person manning the entire cafe. Not sure if that's a Monday thing or always the way it is. She did great but 2 people would be better - less frantic for the one person.

My wife and I were driving down CA 101 near Hopland last weekend and we were both very hungry. We hadn't had time to eat breakfast at our hotel before leaving, as we were staying in Eureka and had 10:30am tickets for the Skunk Train in Willits. After leaving Willits we were having trouble getting any signal to our phones (it's very rural up there) around 1:35pm, when we finally got signal, we found Bluebird Cafe and Catering on Yelp. How lucky for us to find this quaint little dinner, as we were famished. The only drawback was that it said they would be closing soon at 2:00pm. When we hit the door at 1:40pm, we were greeted warmly by Sharon. We expressed that we didn't want to keep them late, after their closing time and Sharon was like, "no worries, take your time...enjoy." My wife ordered the Country Breakfast and I ordered a Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet. Both arrived quickly and contained copious amounts of flavors. My wife makes a mean biscuit w/country gravy herself and she's always on the look out for a good representation of the dish. Bluebird's version of biscuit w/country gravy, was one of the best she's tried, besides her version. HOMERUN, they knocked it outta the park. My Ham & Cheddar Cheese Omelet was certainly in my top ten, and those home fries were TAF, seasoned with herbs, a little garlic and cooked to perfection. If you're in Hopland, do yourself a flavor and stop by the Bluebird Cafe & Catering Co. You will LOVE IT !!!

Best breakfast potatoes EVER. Great service, cute spot. What's not to like? And complimentary pastries on the weekends!

The Bluebird Cafe is a Hopland institution. I don't remember when I first visited, but it was here the first time I passed through Hopland, which was back in the mid-90's. I don't think I ate there that time, but made a note to stop in next time. Which I did. And I am glad I did. Because the food doesn't disappoint. Ever. I stop every time I travel through Hopland. And sometimes, I take an early morning road trip just for fun. To destination Bluebird. Why not? The food is good. The service is good. The atmosphere is old Americana. The prices are not Bay Area. Get into your EV, charge it at Santa Rosa Plaza, and continue on to Bluebird. You're welcome for the road trip tip! Enjoy your meal at Bluebird Cafe. Have the blueberry blintzes. And get the pastry basket if they have it.

Nicely decorated with artifacts from an earlier time. Very quaint and beautiful. It even has its very own moose. Prompt and friendly service. Wife had feta, spinach, and sausage omelet. Came with home fries. She asked that they be done extra and they came out wonderous brown and tasted like pototato chips that had gone to heaven. Needless to say, she was quite happy. I had the blueberry cheese blintzes. Tart cheese, and sweet and juicy blueberry compote. I had the same done to the potatoes that came with my dish and was quite pleased with everything. We will be back.
